The Punisher Omnibus by Garth Ennis – the only edition a Punisher fan needs

The Punisher Omnibus Graphic Novel
If you’re a fan of the Punisher comics this is the only edition of the series you will ever need. It is 1000+ pages of Frank Castle action all printed on hardcover with a sturdy binding and beautiful cover. This will look great on your bookshelf.

For those unfamiliar with the character and the Punisher graphic novels, the comic is centred around Frank Castle, a man whose wife and children are killed by the mob. Castle decides to reap bloodthirsty revenge and his methods of torture, kidnapping and murder make him one of the greatest antiheroes ever. He is the subject of hundreds of comic issues, a game and a film and is one of the best Marvel characters ever drawn.

Punisher Omnibus - Why is Frank Castle great and how good is this edition?

First a little on the character himself, just so you've learned something today. Please humor me, I'll feel useful. He was created by Gerry Conway, the man also known for co-creating Firestorm and killing off Gwen Stacey in The Amazing Spiderman. The omnibus edition is actually the work of Garth Ennis, the man behind the amazingly good Preacher series (which will make an appearance in our top 100 list.)

This graphic novel is 1136 pages long, and if you read at a rate of a page a minute that’s nearly nineteen hours of pure Punisher violence and torture. It’s a top buy if you’re going someplace where you’ll need a book to read, and it’s best to read this on your own, doors shut, lights dimmed. You need to take your time and appreciate the artwork and really get immersed in the storyline.

The Punisher Omnibus Editionis great for people who are building a graphical novel collection because it sits pretty on a bookshelf, and it is also good for those who didn’t manage to pick up the series in its monthly edition and wants to get caught up in the Punisher world.

What the fans think (from Amazon):
“…don't even bother reading these reviews, just buy it already”
“1000+ pages of non-stop action! Possibly the jewel in my comic book collection!”
